August is National Tree Care month and the U.S. Department of Agriculture recommends taking 10 minutes to inspect your trees for possible damage due to the Asian long horned beetle.

According to the August 2014 issue of Arborists News, the top 4 signs to look for are as follows:

1. Shallow scars in bark

2. Dime-sized exit holes

3. Sawdust like material

4. Dead branches
